Teresa Kubiak, cellist, performs frequently in both New York City and Rochester, playing solo, chamber, and orchestral repertoire. She is principal cellist of The Orchestra of The Bronx and has worked extensively with The Bronx Opera Company as well as many other organizations and ensembles. She has performed her arrangements for cello ensemble at the 9/11 Memorial Services at Ground Zero and was invited as a guest artist at the opening of Lincoln Center's David Rubenstien Atrium. Ms. Kubiak teaches cello through the Rivertowns Arts Council in Westchester, NY, and The Kanack School of Music and Nazareth College in Rochester, NY, where her students engage in private cello lessons as well as beginning Suzuki cello classes and advanced ensembles. She also gives cello lessons on the internet through Skype. She is a guest faculty member with the London Suzuki Group's summer festival in Dorset, England. Ms. Kubiak has designed and implemented her own musical outreach program that demystifies classical music, making its depths accessible to the hearts and minds of all. As contractor and general manager of The Orchestra of The Bronx and The Bronx Opera Company's orchestra, she has built these ensembles into two of the finest groups in New York City. Throughout this site you can find examples of playing, teaching and writing. Enjoy.
